I managed to pick out the craft books I wanted to read and gather up all of my story related material. There were a few other things I had wanted to do, but to be honest, I got involved in playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and the thought of having to think about my story didn’t seem appealing.

I’m a little annoyed at myself for wasting time/energy but at the same time, I’m not. I enjoyed my game time and that’s something I haven’t been able to do much of over the years.

Craft Books to read:

The Complete Writer’s Guide To Heroes & Heroines- Sixteen Master Archetypes by Tami D. Cowden, Caro LaFever & Sue Viders

Tarot for Writers by Corrine Kenner.

I also need to read Book 1 in my series as well as go over the scenes I have for Book 2.

*There’s a lot of reading to do for someone who can’t focus for more than 2 minutes on a page.* (This feeling of overwhelm has made me want to give up.)

So, how can I alleviate that feeling instead of following through with it?

  1. Choose one craft book to read instead of two

  2. Don’t read any craft books.

  3. Skim through Tarot for Writers book to find a spread that may spark a better grasp of the story or to get a different perspective.

The Heroes & Heroines book feels like it would be beneficial because I want to write character interactions with more substance. However, This is also something I can read casually and implement at a different time during another readthrough of the story.

The real priority is reading my books to reacquaint myself with the characters, story and what information needs to be connected and weaved throughout the series.

For Week 2 I should have come up with a schedule. Hopefully, I’ll have made progress and feel better about what I want to accomplish.

I really want to go into November with a better idea of what I’m trying to do with this story. Wish me luck!
